Location: Malaysia
About the Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced 3D Modeller to join a dynamic engineering team, contributing to the design and execution of offshore structure projects. This role involves producing high-quality 3D models, 2D drawings, material take-offs (MTO), and detailed connections, ensuring compliance with industry standards and fabrication requirements.
You will play a key role in design execution, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver precise, efficient, and installation-ready models and drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently produce 3D models, 2D drawings, MTOs, and detailed connections, considering installation and fabrication aspects as well as design code requirements.
- Create and refine 3D models and drawings using E3D software, including MTO extraction.
- Ensure compliance with design rules, procedures, and recognised industry standards for offshore structures.
- Deliver high-quality, efficient, and fit-for-purpose drawings and modelling solutions.
- Originate and check design deliverables (3D models, drawings, and MTOs) in line with project schedules and requirements.
- Interface with design teams, engineering services, and other disciplines throughout project execution.
- Ensure accuracy of material take-offs (MTOs) and bill of quantities.
Requirements
- Technical diploma with a minimum of 7 years' experience in design and execution of offshore projects.
- Mandatory experience in 3D modelling using E3D software.
- Strong knowledge of material take-offs (MTOs), bill of quantities, and joint detailing.
Desirable Skills (Nice to Have)
- Experience in 3D modelling using S3D, Tekla, and BOCAD software.
- Understanding of fabrication and brownfield installation processes.
