Process Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to play a key role in optimising production performance and ensuring the integrity of offshore and onshore facilities. This is an exciting opportunity to work across multiple disciplines, driving improvements in chemical systems, process surveillance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and manage flow assurance challenges, ensuring alignment with operating conditions and production rhythms.

• Lead quarterly Flow Assurance Meetings, tracking action items and driving continuous improvement.

• Verify existing operating envelopes and provide system-wide optimisation recommendations.

• Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs), collaborating with stakeholders to refine or develop new metrics to enhance production performance.

• Develop and execute data gathering plans, including sampling and analysis, feeding into Field Surveillance and Field Performance reviews.

• Support offshore operations with surveillance programmes and troubleshooting, with a focus on water and chemical systems, including produced water treatment, seawater treatment, and process chemicals.

• Work with stakeholders to develop and manage the chemical treatment programme, overseeing targets, dosage, equipment, and testing while maintaining accurate chemical delivery records.

• Conduct process simulation and modelling, applying root cause analysis (RCA) methodologies to diagnose process abnormalities and recommend both short- and long-term solutions.

• Provide expert guidance on facility modifications, engineering risk assessments, and integrity management to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations.

• Develop relationships with chemical suppliers, vendors, and local laboratories, managing vendor interfaces to maintain system effectiveness.

• Oversee third-party chemical and engineering studies, ensuring high-quality technical work is delivered on schedule and within budget.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide critical process engineering input for operational initiatives and brownfield projects.

• Support EHS and regulatory compliance, including participation in facility risk assessments and HAZOPs.

• Mentor laboratory technicians, supporting skill development in analysis methods and application guidance.

About You:

• Strong background in flow assurance, process engineering, or production chemistry within the energy sector.

• Experience in process troubleshooting, chemical treatment programmes, and system surveillance.

• Proficiency in process simulation and modelling tools.

• Skilled in data analysis, KPI development, and performance optimisation.

• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple disciplines, engaging with offshore teams, vendors, and stakeholders.

• Strong problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to risk management and operational improvements.
