This position is to guide and facilitate the development of Honeywell's Electric Power Generators and Motors and take ownership of the execution of programs related to their development. You will guide medium to high complexity projects, including new technology or applications within your technical expertise. Your responsibilities will include providing technical guidance, managing budgets, ensuring adherence to schedules and milestones, facilitating customer engagement, cross-functional integration, and project management interfaces. As the owner of program execution, you will be accountable for the successful implementation of the programs. You will coordinate with various disciplines, interface with internal guides, external customers, Chief Engineers, and on-site subject matter experts to achieve program success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Guide the engineering effort to develop electric generators and motors, including creating work package structures, guiding the creation of cost estimates, integrated schedules, and milestones for component and system developments.
- Provide direction and oversight for the project team, serving as the owner of program execution and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
- Guide the prioritization of work packages, design goals, and component/system integrations, taking ownership of the overall execution of the programs.
- Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of documentation and deliverables, ensuring their alignment with program objectives.
- Use enterprise-based business tools to achieve project planning and cost objectives, taking ownership of the financial aspects of the programs.
- Meet design objectives and requirements for development hardware and software across multiple COEs, taking ownership of the technical aspects of the programs.
- Guide a medium-sized (>5, <15 person) or multiple small engineering Product Development teams, potentially covering multiple locations, taking ownership of the team's performance and success.
- Mentor others in the application of project scheduling, budgeting, and earned value ethics and tools, sharing your expertise and taking ownership of their development.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key customers to identify new business opportunities, taking ownership of customer engagement and satisfaction.

YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in Engineering.

- Experience guiding the technical effort for development programs.
- Familiarity with military and commercial aircraft specifications.
