Advanced Field Service Engineer
As an Advanced Field Service Engineer here at Honeywell, you will have the opportunity to provide advanced technical facilitation and expertise to our customers in the Industrial Automation (IA) business unit. You will be accountable for troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues, ensuring the successful implementation of our solutions, and driving customer satisfaction. Your expertise and dedication to excellence will play a crucial role in the success of our field service operations and the growth of our business. You will report directly to our Field Service Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Kuwait location on a hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the efficiency, productivity, and safety of our customers' operations by providing exceptional technical facilitation and service.
Key responsibilities
Lead Engineer on LSS, Short Cycle project:
- Provide technical leadership for projects, including coordination and planning
- Specifies the necessary deliverables according to the GPM and project requirements, ensuring they align with the project's scope.
- Responsible for reviewing and signing off on all documents, reports, and procedures aligning with cyber security compliance ensuring quality and accuracy
EPKS, Virtualization and Cyber Scope:
- Ability to work with Solution Architects to maintain automation plans and advise clients on new technology or services that will add value
- Experience in training and providing technical support for virtualization, Experion PKS and controllers upgrade
Key skills and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a computer/electrical related field such as Computer Science, Computer information systems, electronics/electrical (MBA approval for Indian college) or in lieu of degree a minimum of 7 years experience in industrial automation network systems engineering. minimum certification L3/L4 or OPM L4 in handling Honeywell DCS (TPS & EPKS) & with CCNI and Virtualization experience as VMware
- 7 years' experience as senior FSE
- minimum certification L3/L4 & OPM L3/L4 in handling Honeywell DCS (TPS & EPKS)
- Engineer (Project environment) with commissioning and SAT experience
- minimum 2 years with virtualization experience.
- CCNI and Cybersecurity certification is a distinct advantage
- Minimum of 6 years of proven experience in field service engineering and strong technical knowledge and expertise in industrial cyber security Preferred CISSP Certified Information Systems Security Professional or similar security certification
- Preferred CISCO Certified Network/Design/Security Professional (at least one) - must currently be certified or in the process of certification/renewal Linux/Windows Security Basics 5+ years working with IT Security 5+ years Industrial Networking 2+ years Leading Security Projects 2+ years performing audits/assessments Cyber Security Risk Analysis Process Control system design/implementation Excellent troubleshooting skills to resolve complex network and or application or system integration issues Fault Tolerant Ethernet (Honeywell product) Experience with virtualization preferably VMWare
- Preferred Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer Experience performing network services at customer sites. Experience in LAN/WAN architectures & related diagnostic tools Experience designing and optimizing complex LAN environments LAN/WAN and wireless networking principles and protocols including Ethernet, TCP/IP, VLAN, WLAN, Frame Relay, Firewall, DMZ, VPN, IDS, switches, routers, firewalls TCP/IP protocols - SMTP, SNMP, FTP, HTTP, SSH, SSL Experience Network Security - Firewall, ACL, IDS, IPS, SIEM Specific experience in Cisco Routers, Switches, or Firewalls Microsoft - Active Directory, DNS, WSUS, Terminal Server Experience with anti-virus systems, backup & restore solutions, system management Experience with anti-virus systems, backup & restore solutions, system management Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Experience in project management and execution Strong customer focus and ability to build and maintain relationships Strong guidance and mentoring skills Continuous learning mindset and willingness to stay updated with industry advancements Results-oriented approach and ability to drive projects to successful completion Strong problem-solving and thoughtful abilities
