This position reports to
Senior Project Lead Engineer
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support engineering activities in all types of project sizes and complexities, under the supervision of senior engineers. Each day, you will complete the tasks cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards. You will also showcase your expertise by collecting data and supporting production of the engineering design. The work model for the role is: #LI - Onsite This role contributes to Process Automation in Process Industries within the India region. You will be mainly accountable for: • Performing survey work, standard computations, analysis, and basic design tasks. • Exercising judgment on limited details of work and on application of standard methods and preparing project documentation within your scope of deliverables. • Assisting customers on technical issues and interacting with official contacts, contractors, and other staff within your scope of deliverables. • Supporting in communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings. • Participating in workshops related to engineering design, tools, and processes.

Qualifications for the role
- You are highly skilled in testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of Rectifier Control Panels, Rectifier Systems, DM Cooling Systems, Transformers, Switchgear, SCADA Integration, and Communication Protocols within the Process Automation industry.
- You have 3 to 5 years of experience in Process Automation, working as a Project Engineer with ABB proprietary hardware and software.
- You are highly adept in working with SCADA systems (Micro SCADA, 800XA, Zenon), ABB PLCs, and communication protocols (OPC, Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet TCP/IP, Profinet).
- You are innovative and passionate about technical problem-solving, customer support, and process optimization.
- You have a full time Diploma / Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering with proven experience in testing, commissioning, and maintenance.
- You are at ease communicating in English.
