This position reports to

R&D/Technology Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to successful project results in technology, software, product, and/or solution development, as well as associated Intellectual Property (IP). Each day, you will act as the first point of contact in Research and Development for specific product-related issues and maintenance. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions. The work model for the role is: #LI-OnSite This role is contributing to the Electrification Business in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon or Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila. You will be mainly accountable for: • Maintaining recognized expertise in a specific area by integrating the latest developments in technologies, tools, and methodologies into your work. • Finding new ways of solving problems by following your ideas, creating hypotheses, and defining ways to validate them. • Documenting work results (like findings, designs, or software), allowing others to maintain and improve them. • Understanding and initiating IP generation in your area of specialization and participating in the project IP strategy development.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical power or similar with minimum of 5+ years of experience in development of products & its solutions in electrical distributions.
• Experience in manufacturing implementation of new and modified designs.
• Expertise in product and solution level testing desired and experience on working with Global test labs and Certification agency.
• Experience with design and product documentation, Creo and Windchill preferred.
• Proven ability to analyze test data and solve design issues.
• Experience defining, designing, and integrating cost effective, compliant solutions.
• Track record executing product design projects in teams and individually.
• Experience working with standards and standards compliance.
• Experience with Switches, Transfer switches, Automatic transfer switches, electrical panelboards, circuit breakers, or similar products or other Electro-Mechanical design and testing experience.
• Experience in testing, DoE, and data analysis.
• Knowledge of certification standards for electrical equipment (UL, IEC, IEEE).
• Proven record of engineering analysis and design execution success.
• Certified in Lean Six Sigma.
