R&D Local Unit Lead

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to ABB's success with technology, software, product, and system development. Each day, you will identify and implement innovative solutions to relevant problems. You will also showcase your expertise by providing ideas and by being able to work both independently and as a part of a Research & Development (R&D) team. The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid This role is contributing to the Smart Power division in Frosinone or Bergamo plant. Main stakeholder are Research & Development department and production plant. You will be mainly accountable on low voltage circuit breakers area for: • Conducting analysis and feasibility studies for packaging and its optimization • Resolving issues related to the shipment of the product • Validating and testing prototypes cooperating with the Project Team, Workshop, Testing Laboratory, and Project Managers • Contributing to research and development (R&D) projects with own, creative ideas • Following up on activities based on project results • Reporting on progress and outcomes

Qualifications for the role

• You hold a Bachelor or Master Degree in Mechanical, Materials or Aerospace Engineering.
• You have established skills and 4/5 years of experience in packaging design.
• Possess an enhanced knowledge of and are highly adept in CAD 3D (ArtiosCAD would be preferred).
• You are passionate about autonomy in the management of activities and team-working skills, and you are innovative around curiosity and flexibility.
• You are at ease communicating in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
