This position reports to
Regional Service Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Each day, you will deliver quality customer service to satisfy customers. You will also showcase your expertise by displaying clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in your own area of responsibility. The work model for the role is: customer onsite. This role is contributing to the Energy division in Grand Rapids, MI. You will be mainly accountable for: Performing entry level field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and performs analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products. Preparing material lists needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities. Executing work on a first-time right approach with customers, and ensuring the job is done on time and as per quality standards. Troubleshooting simple equipment failures and making recommendations to avoid such issues in the future. Our team dynamics: You will join a dynamic team, where you will be able to thrive.

Qualifications for the role
- High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of professional work experience required.
- You will embark on a journey which will see you develop and be mentored to provide outstanding field service support of ABB's 800xA Distributed Control System. There are many career pathways in Field Service including Advanced Services, ABB University, Technical Support, Project Engineering, Commission Services, Research and Development, and Quality. Along your journey, you will get to meet many of our previous Trainees that continue to have successful careers at ABB.
