We are hiring an Engineering Intern - Renewable Energy - to gain firsthand experience in solar and battery storage engineering. Interns will work on project design, grid interconnection, and energy transition solutions alongside industry experts. This opportunity provides real-world experience in renewable energy, helping develop the next generation of professionals while contributing to innovative clean energy projects that drive sustainable power solutions.

What you will do:
  • Based in Stamford, CT, you will gain hands-on experience in renewable energy development, construction, and operations through collaboration with industry experts
  • Assist in creating preliminary engineering designs for solar or Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects
  • Support coordination with external consultants, including geotechnical and engineering design firms
  • Provide deliverables for utility interconnection applications, rebate applications, and performance validation models
  • Assist in researching interconnection filing requirements and other regulatory matters
  • Develop an engineering design and present a technical review, covering technology, risks, mitigations, and project assessment

We are experts, which means you will have the following skills and experience:
  • Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, with a strong foundation in technical principles
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm for energy transition and sustainability, backed by a solid academic record (GPA)
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to analyze data, create reports, and present technical insights effectively
  • Ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and work effectively within cross-functional teams
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to tackle challenges, learn quickly, and contribute innovative solutions to engineering projects
