As an I&E Technician here at Honeywell Energy & Sustainability Solutions (ESS), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our industrial processes. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation and electrical systems in our facility. Your expertise in troubleshooting and problem-solving will be essential in identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and optimize production. You will report directly to our I&E Supervisor and work out of our Metropolis, IL.

In this role, you will have a significant impact on the reliability and performance of our operations. Your technical skills and attention to detail will contribute to the overall success of our facility by ensuring that our instrumentation and electrical systems are functioning at their best. You will work closely with a team of technicians and engineers to support the continuous improvement of our processes and maintain a safe working environment.

The training period for this role will be on first shift (7 am - 3:30 pm) and will be approximately 6 months. After that this candidate will be moving to a DuPont schedule or swing shift.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation and control systems
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on equipment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
• Document work activities and maintain accurate records

In October, 2024 Honeywell announced the spin-off of our Advanced Materials business to become a stand-alone publicly traded company, independent of Honeywell. Our intention is that this role, dedicated to the Advanced Materials business, will be a part of this future transaction when the separation occurs.

The annual base salary range for this position is $33.50-$50.00/hour. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

YOU MUST HAVE

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an I&E Technician or similar role
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation and electrical systems
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving

WE VALUE

• Associate's degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Technology
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Familiarity with PLCs and DCS systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
