KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance in the design, development, and testing of an innovative new navigation system fusing conventional and alternative sensors
  • Coach and guide a team of R&D engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence
  • Assist in the development and execution of technical roadmaps, serving as the engineering liaison to the business team
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to leverage collective expertise and resources
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and Honeywell's quality and safety protocols
  • Evaluate emerging technologies for their applicability to current and future projects
  • Support the transfer of technology from R&D to manufacturing or production teams
  • Collaborate with the team on the execution of core programs tied to our digital engineering transformation

    Compensation & Benefits:
    Non-Incentive
    The annual base salary range for this position is $106,000 - $160,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • 5+ years of experience leading research and development projects within a technology or manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and MOSA (Modular Open Systems Approach)
  • Proven track record of technical leadership and project management

WE VALUE
  • Bachelor's degree or Advanced degree in Engineering, Physics, or another related field
  • Solid understanding of systems engineering and software development best practices, design patterns, and architecture principles
  • Knowledge and experience with alternative navigation concepts such as magnetometers, vision-based systems, and LEO systems
  • Background working with regulated and safety-critical systems
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as DO-178 & DO-254
  • Strong background in developing navigation systems for defense or commercial applications
  • Technical expertise in inertial and GPS systems
