Lifting & Rigging Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Lifting & Rigging Supervisor to oversee and coordinate all lifting and rigging operations on site during the construction phase of an LNG bunkering project. The successful candidate will ensure that all lifting activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, legal regulations, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
 

• Supervise and coordinate daily lifting and rigging operations in accordance with the lifting plan.
• Ensure all lifting activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with HSE policies and procedures.
• Verify lifting equipment certifications and conduct regular inspections on slings, shackles, cranes, hoists, and other lifting gear.
• Work closely with construction teams, crane operators, riggers, and safety officers to coordinate safe execution of critical lifts.
• Review and approve lifting plans, risk assessments, and method statements for all lifting operations.
• Lead toolbox talks and pre-lift meetings to ensure all personnel understand their roles and responsibilities.
• Identify and mitigate potential hazards associated with lifting operations.
• Ensure proper use of rigging techniques, load handling, and signaling practices.
• Maintain accurate records of lifting gear usage, inspections, incidents, and maintenance.
• Liaise with subcontractors and third-party inspection agencies as required.
• Support incident investigations related to lifting operations, if any, and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications & Experience:
 

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a similar role on large-scale industrial or energy projects (preferably LNG or petrochemical).
• In-depth knowledge of lifting equipment, load charts, rigging techniques, and safe lifting practices.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and lifting plans.
