We have a great opportunity for an Intern - Mechanical Engineer based in Brno to join our Honeywell team!
This is role working schedule is for 20h/week as an average.
In this exciting role, you will assist with the design and development of conveyors, sorters, their components and accessories in accordance with customer needs and valid company procedures, cooperating with team members on projects in the domain. You will be able to gain valuable experience working an international industry-leading company, allowing you to grow your technical skills and knowledge.
This role is part of our University Relations program, designed to help students and recent graduates launch their careers with hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities for growth within Honeywell.

Key responsibilities:
- Primarily to design conveyor/sorter systems, components and their accessories according to defined technical input, valid company project procedures and with consideration of latest state of technology
- Continuously improve conveyors/sorters' product portfolio especially in terms of fit, form and function, with focus to increase the value for customer
- Optimize newly developed and existing conveyor/sorter systems, components and their accessories from perspective of manufacturing costs and proven technologies primarily available at the company and at approved suppliers'
- Create 3D models, drawings, bills of materials and other types of technical documentation in compliance with internal company procedures and valid engineering standards
- Assist and provide support on building physical parts, prototypes, testing and maintenance in-house or at customer site if necessary
Key Requirements:
- Student of Bachelor or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Knowledge of any common 3D CAD systems, preferrably Solidworks, and MS Office
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation and drawings
- English - minimum B1 language level (intermediate) with good communication skills - speaking, email, and phone calls
- Basic understanding of technologies (machining, bending cutting etc.)
