The ideal candidate for this role would have a background in the automotive industry, testing on electrical batteries. Alternatively, someone with strong experience in high voltage product testing.
Your role:
- Develop detailed test plans, scripts, and scenarios based on system specifications and user requirements.
- Design and implement new testing methodologies, frameworks, and processes for emerging technologies.
- Manage external vendors for specialized testing of electrical components and systems.
- Execute functional, performance, and reliability tests for EV charging systems, including automated and manual testing.
- Maintain and develop automated test scripts to increase testing efficiency.
- Conduct Design Validation Plan & Report (DVP&R) activities for electric vehicle systems.
- Identify, document, and track defects, collaborating with development teams for timely resolution.
- Perform regression testing and ensure issue resolution does not introduce new defects.
- Carry out performance testing under various load and environmental conditions.
- Support Factory and Site Acceptance Testing (FAT & SAT), working with internal teams and external partners.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements through close collaboration with QA.
- Prepare comprehensive test documentation and reports with clear findings and improvement recommendations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of tools, processes, and testing strategies.
- Work with cross-functional teams to define robust test strategies for high-powered charging systems.
- Develop site-specific testing procedures in collaboration with on-site personnel.
- Senior level experience in product/system testing, preferably in a high-voltage or automotive environment.
- Strong background in designing and executing structured test plans from scratch.
- Proficiency in electrical testing techniques, tools, and industry best practices.
- Hands-on experience with data acquisition systems, sensors, loggers, and signal processing.
- Skilled in test automation and physical test data analysis.
- Understanding of electric vehicle charging systems and communication protocols.
- Familiarity with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) testing is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot instrumentation and system issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities in a cross-functional environment.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, innovation-driven teams.
