We are looking to hire a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Onshore Pipelines) for a national oil and gas operator in Doha, Qatar.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Pipeline Engineering activities for projects, from initial concept definition phase through to; engineering studies, FEED, detailed design and commissioning
- Create, develop and review work-scopes for projects and other engineering activities
- Ensure the work-scope is comprehensive and clear
- Ensure the required client technical assurance practices, engineering standards, environmental and safety policies are incorporated and followed, in work-scopes and whilst conducting Pipeline Engineering activities Review technical deviations and variations to approved guidelines, codes, standards and practices
- Support Engineering Department to review, update and apply client standards and client's amendment to external standards
- Plan and coordinate activities of a team of multidiscipline engineers for providing timely delivery of technical services to meet the project requirements
- Carry out in-house site surveys, engineering and design
- Produce, review, check and approve in-house designs and specifications
- Coordinate designs, specifications and work-scopes created by multi-disciplinary engineering teams
- Review and approve method statements developed by contracted organisations for scope compliance Liaise with contracted organisations to resolve technical issues
- Develop, update and monitor schedules for in-house engineering activities
- Conduct evaluation of technical bid packages for scope compliance
- Review and evaluate the Contract Changes/Variation to approved guidelines and practices
- Support the development of personal technical competency and skills, and those of Co-workers Participate in structured training for Associate Engineers
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering (or similar)
- Chartered/Professional Engineer status or equivalent is preferable
- Minimum 10 years of relevant post graduate experience in Oil & Gas industry, of which 6 years should be in Pipeline Engineering
- Ability to identify and utilise, relevant engineering standards and codes related to Pipeline Engineering
- Proven ability to manage time, cost and quality in engineering projects within a multiple project environment
- Fluency in English with good verbal and writing communication skills and proficiency for conducting presentations
