This is a Staff Engineer role in Global Mechanical Analysis (MA) Section, GE Aerospace, at Bangalore. In this role, the individual will report to the Sub-Section Manager for GEnx/Catalyst/GE90/GP Mechanical Analysis section. This role has ownership of analysis deliverables along with a strong focus on planning and simplification of analysis activities covered by GE Aerospace Standard Practices. Activities aimed to validate the concepts through analysis using finite element methods.
In this role, the individual will be responsible to lead teams and execute analysis projects in Rotors/Airfoils/Structures domains across GEnx/Catalyst/GE90/GP product lines on Mechanical Analysis efforts. The individual is also expected to mentor the team on analysis processes and responsible to develop program plans & execution.

Essential Responsibilities
- Lead/ Execute Rotors/Airfoils/Structures Analysis deliverables to meet the business outcomes across GEnx/Catalyst/GE90/GP programs.
- Demonstrate in-depth technical expertise and system level thinking to meet Design/Life CTQs.
- Deliver programs with strong focus on analysis best practices and move the state of art.
- Work with cross functional teams within the Section in collaboration with interfacing teams (Design, TSD, Dynamics, Externals, Systems, Life).
- Lead/Participate in Mechanical Analysis Toll gate reviews and support Product line Operating review rhythms (Section & Subsection/team level).
- Meet all analysis deliverables within targeted cost & schedule to achieve section metrics on FTY & OTD.
- Strong project management skills including cross-functional coordination of activities, influencing skills and conflict management.
- Clear and timely communication of project status with all stakeholders involved (Design/Systems/LM/TSD)
- Fostering and inspiring a collaborative work style and display team-oriented behavior with a proactive example of communication internally and externally.
- Mentoring/guiding engineers along with own deliverables.
- Resolving analysis problems across life cycle of the product at component/sub-systems/module level.
- Supporting LEAN activities within Analysis disciplines to optimize analysis needs. Lead / participate in problem solving, analysis simplifications.
- Managing priority tradeoffs to optimize program deliveries.
- Adhering to GE Aerospace Compliance processes.
Qualifications/Requirements
- BTech/BS/MTech/MS/PhD in Mechanical/Aerospace/Structural Engineering from an accredited university or college.
- At least 8 years of experience in an engineering function leading a cross-functional team.
- Experience in Analysis Processes across life cycle of the Product (e.g., NPI, Life Extension, Durability).
- Demonstrated leadership experience of managing core engineering teams.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results while working on multiple projects simultaneously, balancing timing and quality of outcomes.
- Global engineering mindset demonstrated through experience working with local & global teams.
