Overview

A prominent infrastructure investment group is seeking an experienced Concession Plant Manager to lead the daily operations, maintenance, and performance of energy assets under long-term concession agreements in Kazakhstan. The role is critical in ensuring that the plant meets performance guarantees, regulatory standards, and long-term sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of power plant and energy facilities in accordance with concession agreements and safety regulations
• Implement O&M strategies to enhance efficiency, extend asset lifecycle, and reduce costs
• Oversee plant KPIs and performance metrics to identify and drive operational improvements
• Ensure full compliance with energy production, environmental, and safety standards
• Coordinate with government agencies, investors, and concession partners to meet performance and reporting obligations
• Lead and develop O&M teams, focusing on upskilling and performance excellence
• Introduce digital tools and predictive maintenance systems to improve plant uptime and reliability
• Develop emergency response and business continuity strategies
• Manage plant budgets, cost control, and operational financial performance
• Prepare operational reports and performance updates for senior management and regulatory bodies

   

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Energy, or related field)
• Minimum 8 years of experience in plant operations, with 5+ years in a leadership or supervisory capacity
• Solid experience with concession frameworks, regulatory compliance, and plant O&M best practices
• Technical expertise in energy production and utility infrastructure
• ERP system proficiency required; SAP experience preferred
• GCC regional experience is a plus
