Senior Telecommunication Systems Engineer - Paris

On behalf of a major EPC company, WRS are seeking an experienced Senior Telecommunication Systems Engineer to join a leading engineering contractor on a major onshore LNG project. This is a residential role based in Paris, with an initial 12-month contract, paying a day rate in Euros

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop Telecommunication Systems Architecture and block diagrams.
• Draft technical specifications for various telecom subsystems.
• Oversee Material Take-Off (MTO) for telecom equipment: cabling, power distribution, etc.
• Coordinate with existing telecom infrastructure and ensure seamless integration.
• Prepare telecom layouts including CCTV, PAGA, and other subsystems.
• Perform technical evaluations and comparisons.
• Manage vendor communications and document reviews.
• Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and vendor bid reviews.
• Participate in installation validation activities (e.g., cabinet quantification).
• Mentor and support junior telecom engineers.

Required Experience & Skills:

• 10 years in Telecom Systems Engineering, ideally in onshore Oil & Gas/LNG environments.
• Proven expertise with systems such as: PAGA, CCTV, UHF/VHF Radio, TETRA, Fiber Optic, Telephone, LAN/WAN, Wireless, ACS, and Intrusion Detection.
• Strong understanding of international codes and standards (ISA, IEC, ATEX).
• Familiar with AutoCAD and MS Office (Word/Excel/Visio).
• Right to work in the EU
