Essential skills and knowledge
- Under the direct supervision of telecom's engineer he/she shall work in cooperation with other colleagues from telecom's and instrumentation at on-shore and off-shore.
- He/she shall visit on-shore and off-shore sites from time to time when necessary and there are projects.
- Perform corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance on all assigned field telecom in timely, safely and cost-effective manner with the aim of enhancing equipment performance ensuring reliability and availability of equipment.
- Involves in diagnosis and calibration of mal-functioning systems, apparatus, components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of break-down and rectify the problem.
- Perform first line of maintenance of Fire and Gas, ESD/EDP, telecom, DCS with the aim of minimizing downtime of the equipment/plant and operate the plant safely.
- Inspects telecom systems and their components for evaluating the condition, identifying necessary repairs and recommending preventive maintenance.
- Carries out standby (callout) duties and also responsible for the training of National Trainees.
Essential skills and knowledge
- A minimum of Eight (8) years of relevant experience in oil and gas/petrochemical industry.
- Capable of understanding hook up and loop drawings, Cause & Effect charts, P&IDs and Sequence of events (SOE).
- Full working and maintenance knowledge of telecom equipment in hazardous area.
- Should have good knowledge of safety practices relating to the oil & Gas Industry.
- Preferred to have good knowledge/experience in SAP system.
- Fair knowledge in computer skills, communication skills, meets operations, maintenance and project teams for trouble shooting.
- Skill in report preparation.
