Job Title: EPC Senior Project Manager

Location: Atyrau, Kazakhstan (Project-Based)

Job Purpose

The EPC Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering large-scale oil and gas EPC projects in Kazakhstan. This role ensures successful project execution within scope, schedule, and budget, while complying with all contractual, quality, HSE, and regulatory standards. The position requires strong leadership across engineering, procurement, and construction teams and continuous alignment with client and stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full EPC project lifecycle from planning through close-out.
• Develop project execution strategies, budgets, and schedules.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams across engineering, procurement, and site execution.
• Maintain alignment with project scope, contractual requirements, and quality standards.
• Mitigate risks and delays by proactively managing project constraints and variables.
• Coordinate closely with client representatives, regulatory authorities, and third-party stakeholders.
• Monitor progress and control project performance through KPIs and reporting tools.
• Lead change management and scope control processes.
• Oversee commercial aspects including contract administration, claims, and disputes.
• Mentor and develop junior project management professionals and project engineers.

   

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of overall experience.
• At least 5 years in a relevant project management or supervisory role.
• GCC experience is a plus (minimum 2 years preferred).
• Proven track record managing large EPC projects in the oil and gas sector.

Knowledge and Skills

• Advanced knowledge of EPC project delivery and methodologies.
• Strong understanding of contract and stakeholder management.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Expertise in cost control, scheduling, risk management, and quality systems.
• ERP proficiency-SAP experience strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of international safety and regulatory standards.
