JOB PURPOSE

Review and analyze project requirements, specifications, drawings and prepare detailed cost estimates. Conduct quantity take-offs and cost calculations for labor, materials, and equipment. Utilize cost databases and historical data to support estimation processes.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Projects Cost Estimation

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates, i ncluding labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Analyze project scope and identify potential risks and opportunities that may impact the cost estimate.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop and refine project plans and schedules.
• Provide professional expertise in the resolution of estimating problems and support project management and contracting personnel with bid analysis and contract negotiations.
• Identify and evaluate cost-saving measures and alternative materials or methods for projects.
• Present cost estimates to clients and stakeholders, including detailed breakdowns and explanations of costs.
• Track and monitor project costs throughout the project, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or changes in scope.
• Review and negotiate subcontractor and vendor proposals to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
• Incorporate new techniques and technologies into the estimating process.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering.

• 8 years of experience in Cost Control & Estimation role for large Projects in the Oil and Gas industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Cost Estimation & Cost Control Certification like ACE and working experience in Cost Estimation Software like k-base, @Risk etc. desirable.
• Thorough understanding of cost control, cost estimation and budgeting principles
• Strong experience in executing project cost control, estimating and budgeting activities in oil and gas industry
• In depth knowledge of oil and gas industry codes and standards with proven ability to apply the standards to oil and gas projects cost control and cost estimation
• Strong experience in preparing and reviewing the cost estimates submitted by Pre-FEED / FEED Engineers and PMCs.

Professional Certifications

• Professional certification in Finance / Cost control & estimation (Preferable).
