JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood (trading locally as WOOD KSS LLP) is currently looking for RA Chief Project Engineer (with HVAC experience) (KZ passport holders) to join our team in Atyrau, Kazakhstan.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitoring and reviewing completed project sections, organizing and participating in the development of technical project documentation (TPD)
• Participating in the collection and processing of initial data for design, resolving technical issues related to facilities throughout the design and construction phases
• Participating in the review, approval, and defense of project documentation at all levels
• Preparing estimates for design and survey work (PIR) (determining design costs)
• Coordinating project approvals with state regulatory authorities, managing independent (non-departmental) and state expert reviews
• Developing TPD in compliance with SN RK 1.02-03-2022 and other regulatory documents of the Republic of Kazakhstan
• Designing and engineering HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning) and refrigeration systems for public, industrial, and oil/gas facilities in accordance with GOST 21.602-2016
• Designing and selecting ventilation and air conditioning equipment
• Developing schematic diagrams, creating drawings and sections, performing thermal, aerodynamic, and hydraulic calculations (proficiency in specialized software is preferred), preparing plans, ductwork layouts, axonometry drawings, inquiry forms and collaborating with suppliers

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 15-20 years of total work experience
• Strong knowledge of SNiPs, GOSTs, and industry standards
• Experience with State Expertise
• Familiarity with EPC projects (engineering, procurement, and construction)
• Valid certification as a Chief Project Engineer
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, ability to work independently
• Experience in business correspondence
• Mentorship and coaching skills for training junior staff
• Ability to manage engineering schedules
