At Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace Business, we've been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years. We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the development and improvement of manufacturing processes within the Value Stream ME team. You will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient production of both NPI (New Product Introduction) and Legacy products. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop your skills in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, development, and improvement of manufacturing processes for both NPI & Legacy products
• Support the implementation of process changes, fixture improvements, tools selection, and machinery selection
• Help ensure that target metrics are achieved for the processes you support, including OTD (On-Time Delivery), FTY (First Time Yield), product cost, lead time, and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to reduce costs and cycle times
• Contribute new ideas and positive support to current process improvement efforts
• Assist in the creation of manufacturing instructions, ensuring that customer requirements are flowed down to the process and manufacturing best practices are properly documented
• Support Process Substantiation and FAI (First Article Inspection) activities

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Master's degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Industrial Engineering
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and principles
• Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and provide efficient solutions
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications
• Fluency in English and Italian
• Work Visa in accordance with local regulation is required
