JOB DESCRIPTION

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership

Enable a culture towards safety, incident and accident prevention, regulatory compliance, environmental management and performance outcomes.

Lead HSE programs and initiatives that drive a safety-first culture across all operations.

Utilize tools such as Six Sigma, Lean, or Kaizen to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in HSE management.

Present HSE findings and strategic recommendations to senior management to ensure the visibility of HSE performance across the organization.

Compliance

Review company activities and ensure compliance with HSE policies, plans and procedures.

Stay updated with legislative changes and adjust policies and procedures accordingly.

Ensure that all hazards and risks associated with work activities have been identified, assessed and actions implemented to eliminate or reduce.

Ensure the emergency preparedness and response plans are developed, documented, implemented and tested.

Environmental data collection and registration required.

Coordinate Industrial Hygiene surveys with Corporate HSE Team and work with facilities to close out any findings.

Develop specific safety procedures to address identified risks and challenges.

Conduct routine site assessment audits with the management team.

Ensure that waste is properly classified, handled, and stored in accordance with federal, state, local and NOV requirements.

Ensure permits and certifications are maintained and kept up to date. This includes databases that are internal and external to the organization.

Team Leadership and Development

Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of HSE professionals.

Implement and execute HSE training plan for all facility personnel ensuring they are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties safely and effectively.

Qualifications

Essential:

Higher level of education in Safety or Science



Advanced English Skills

Experience

Essential:



Solid experience working with HSE, inluding management role

Desirable:

Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and their hazards and familiarity with manufacturing environments

Extensive knowledge of ISO14001

Quality Assurance

Carry out all duties in accordance with the Quality Assurance procedures and department/area work instructions.

Contribute to general improvements in the quality and key activities of the department/area.

Training

Participate in training where required.
