Overview
A leading energy infrastructure project is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to deliver high-quality technical support across a portfolio of Oil and Gas engineering projects. The role involves design assurance, standards compliance, and coordination of multi-disciplinary engineering teams to support project development from concept to commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

• Chartered or Professional Engineer status preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 10 years post-graduate engineering experience

• At least 6 years within the Oil and Gas sector

• Strong understanding of relevant electrical engineering codes and standards

• Proven ability to manage cost, schedule, and quality in a project engineering environment

• Proficient in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to conduct technical presentations

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver electrical engineering design and services for assigned projects, ensuring compliance with project standards, schedule, quality, and HSE requirements

• Carry out engineering studies, FEED, detailed design, and support commissioning activities

• Conduct in-house site surveys and prepare technical work-scopes

• Apply internal procedures and industry standards in all electrical engineering activities

• Review and resolve deviations from design codes, engineering standards, and best practices

• Support the continuous improvement of company standards and amend external standards where applicable

• Plan and coordinate activities of multi-disciplinary engineering teams

• Develop, coordinate, and review technical work-scopes to ensure clarity and completeness

• Approve method statements from contractors, ensuring alignment with project scope

• Engage with contractors to resolve technical issues effectively

• Monitor and update engineering schedules, ensuring timely project execution

• Participate in technical bid evaluations and ensure scope compliance

• Review contract variations and changes for adherence to engineering guidelines

• Mentor junior and graduate engineers, including participation in structured development programmes
