Job Title: Rigging Supervisor

Job Summary
We are currently seeking an experienced Rigging Supervisor with strong technical expertise in heavy lifting operations within oil & gas, petrochemical, or fertilizer plant environments. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with high-capacity cranes, complex lifts, and rigging operations at elevated heights, along with a valid Rigging Supervisor certification from a recognized authority.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret third-party approved lift plans for critical lifts.

• Develop and propose lifting plans for non-critical lifts, including crane and gear selection.

• Assess risks associated with lifting operations and recommend mitigation strategies.

• Coordinate with third-party lifting surveyors during all critical lifting activities.

• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure rigging crews are briefed and aligned with safety protocols.

• Supervise and guide rigging teams during preparation and execution of lifting jobs.

• Plan and oversee complex lifting operations involving two cranes and intricate loads.

• Execute lifts involving vessels, equipment, and objects with complex geometries up to 50 meters in height.

• Ensure all lifts consider load size, shape, weight, and center of gravity to avoid overloading.

• Maintain visual and verbal contact with crane operators using hand signals, whistles, or radios when direct visibility is compromised.

• Manage the safe lifting and shifting of heavy equipment, large-diameter piping, and control valves using cranes up to 500 tons.

Qualifications & Experience

• Technical Diploma in a relevant trade (10+3 years education system).

• Minimum 12 years of maintenance experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or fertilizer industries.

• Valid Rigging Supervisor certification from a recognized and certified agency is mandatory.

• Proven track record in supervising heavy and critical lifts, including dual crane operations.

• Excellent coordination, risk assessment, and team leadership skills.

• Strong awareness of safety standards, lifting codes, and best practices in rigging.
