AtkinsRéalis is seeking a highly skilled Senior Planning Engineer to oversee the project schedule and progress control for a Roads and Infrastructure Project. The ideal candidate will play a central role in programme analysis, progress verification, delay assessments, and alignment of the contractor's performance with the approved baseline.

This position requires a candidate with at least 10 years of post-graduate experience, including 7 years in planning and controls on large infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Review and analyze the contractor's baseline programme, updates, and revisions, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Monitor project progress against the approved schedule, identify delays and trends, and report deviations with recommended mitigation actions.
  • Conduct independent delay analysis, Time Impact Analysis (TIA), and Extension of Time (EOT) assessments.
  • Prepare and maintain supervision team's internal monitoring tools including look-ahead schedules, dashboards, and critical path trackers.
  • Participate in coordination meetings and present schedule updates, performance metrics, and recovery plans.
  • Coordinate with discipline engineers to obtain timely input on progress, constraints, and resource allocation.
  • Support Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting and project gateway reviews in line with PMDS framework.
  • Validate physical progress on site and correlate with programme updates submitted by the contractor.
  • Develop and maintain reporting formats consistent with key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Assist the Resident Engineer and Client in contractual correspondence related to programme obligations.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (from WHED-listed university).
  • Minimum 10 years total experience, with at least 7 in planning and controls for infrastructure/roads projects in Qatar.
  • UPDA certification Grade A is preferred.
  • Excellent command of English (spoken and written).
  • Expert in Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel, and reporting tools such as Power BI or dashboards.
  • Familiar with document management systems MS Office, AutoCAD (viewing), and site-related software.

Key Competencies:
  • Advanced knowledge of planning and scheduling techniques in civil infrastructure projects.
  • Deep understanding of critical path method (CPM), delay analysis, and programme risk management
  • Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and communicate findings clearly.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Familiarity with PMDS, reporting templates, and key milestone tracking.
