POSITION SUMMARY:
As the SR Manager Fertilizer Solutions (a sub-PSL consisting of the formerly known Weatherly Technology portfolio, now KNitro and the revamp portfolio Kboost) in the Clean Ammonia & Hydrogen PSL, you will be responsible for this business Product Service Line (PSL). Broad responsibilities include leading business development, implementing strategic growth plans, managing the P&L, budget and financial results for the business line including Licensing, Proprietary Equipment and Engineering services. You will establish the basic framework and alignments with other Technology PSL's, marketing, and the global sales organization, providing Fertilizer Solutions expertise, training, content for marketing, etc. Currently KBR Fertilizer Solutions include nitric acid (single high pressure and dual pressure), ammonium nitrate, urea and UAN solutions) as well as a wide range of revamp options for existing assets within the overall Clean Ammonia & Hydrogen PSL.
You will represent KBR at marketing events and as a spokesperson for the business line, as well as maintain relationships with key client and partner decision makers and executives. This position is responsible for all areas including business development, business planning, quarterly plan execution, business forecasting, staff development, staff management and recruitment. The SR Manager of Fertilizer Solutions will work with other members of the Technology Leadership team to develop strategic growth plans and that will maximize the overall profitability of the Technology.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sets strategic and annual growth objectives and budgets. Reviews global market and industry trends for Fertilizer Solutions and develops strategies to maximize growth opportunities as well address future needs relative to staffing
- Responsible for managing the Fertilizer Solutions portfolio. Includes technology, technology development, job costing, bidding, proposal support, and project execution with job income objectives.
- Responsible for planning and controlling resource hiring and FTE allocations business line. Ensures staff are being utilized in the most effective manner. Determines business line work process, productivity and cost improvements to be made, ensuring implementation and completion.
- Ensures the development of the staff, creating an atmosphere where employee contributions are valued. Supports programs to encourage employee flexibility through training and continuous education. Manages direct reports, establishing individual performance goals and objectives and ensuring communications throughout the organization and reviews performance against objectives.
- Responsible for managing the overall P&L, including business planning, quarterly plan execution, business forecasting.
- Maintains a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with all governmental regulations and corporate safety guidelines. Proactively directs continuous improvement efforts in the areas of risk reduction and the elimination of potential hazards. In conjunction with HSSS, ensures that all personnel assigned to the operation receive appropriate safety training and adhere to all safety standards. Proactively directs continuous improvement efforts in the areas of risk.
- Responsible for the quality of all work performed for this technology, including work processes, methodologies and output.
- Support global marketing events in various international regions as a spokesperson for the business line. Leading technology sessions, presenting papers, building customer relationships, and developing new/existing sales leads. Supports Joint Ventures and business partners. Maintain relationships with key client decision makers and executives.
- Evaluates global competition and positions business line strategy and technology development to effectively drive to a market leadership position.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Business Management
- Proven P&L success leading a business selling licensed technology and engineering services
- Domain Knowledge
- Extensive experience (15+ years) in the Clean Ammonia & Hydrogen industries and/or in plant operations.
- Offerings Knowledge
- Experience delivering technical offering and / or processing engineering services
- Leadership
- Prefer experience in leading teams. preferred experience leading in a matrixed work environment. Experience leading teams in multiple locations/ countries.
- Other Requirements

- Experience with international business
- Successful track record of selling/business development for technology, engineering services, equipment and/or automation, etc.
- Experience specifying technical offerings and/or processing engineering services covering Feasibility Studies and Basic Engineering Design Packages
- Must have strong leadership, interpersonal and communications skills; written, verbal and presentation
- Education
- B.Sc./BEng in Chemical Engineering or applicable, MBA preferred.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be willing and available to travel domestic and international; up to 40% as needed
- Growth-oriented leader with a proven ability to develop and execute Technology growth strategies and a successful track record in business development
- Ability to understand and participate in all aspects of technology management including support to regional Sales, proposal development, contract negotiation and project execution,
- Risk management skills with the ability to successfully establish and execute contracts through multiple stages of project development
- Must demonstrate a strong record of safety and a commitment to the value of safety measures
- Must have a personal commitment to organizational excellence, displaying honesty, integrity, and a strong sense of ethics in all decisions and actions
- Fluency in English required
