The Site Reliability Engineer will ensure the high availability, performance, and reliability of our Scipher platform's infrastructure, supporting seamless operations and customer experiences. The right candidate for the position will bring expertise in incident management, coupled with strong problem-solving abilities and collaboration with development teams to ensure uninterrupted access to our Scipher products' offerings and enhancing overall customer satisfaction.
We count on our site reliability engineers (SREs) to empower users with a rich feature set, high availability, and stellar performance level to pursue their missions. As we expand customer deployments, we are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to deliver insights from massive-scale data in real time. Specifically, the incumbent will be someone who has fresh ideas and a unique viewpoint, and who enjoys collaborating with a cross-functional team to develop real-world solutions and positive user experiences for every interaction. This Site Reliability Engineer position reports to Operations Manager. This position is based in our Bengaluru, India office.

As we expand customer deployments, we are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to deliver insights from massive-scale data in real time. Specifically, the incumbent will be someone who has fresh ideas and a unique viewpoint, and who enjoys collaborating with a cross-functional team to develop real-world solutions and positive user experiences for every interaction. This Site Reliability Engineer position reports to Operations Manager. This position is based in our Bengaluru, India office.
Responsibilities
- Design and Development: Design and develop scalable solutions to store and retrieve high-volume timeseries data for various use cases including fast data access and data science experimentation.
- Collaboration: Work with product owners and product teams to deploy releases in staging and production environments.
- Monitoring and Automation: Introduce and develop new tools for monitoring and automation to improve infrastructure reliability and Monitoring the data flow with tools and automate the data store and retrieve.
- Build and maintain data quality validation and testing software, troubleshoot and optimize production issues
- Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using AWS 'big data' technologies.
- Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics.
- Issue Resolution: Handle customer escalation issues, attend to S1 issues, find root causes, and provide permanent fixes. Collaborate with different teams to resolve problems.
- Process Improvement: Retrospect to reduce timelines for customer onboarding/integration and suggest automation solutions to speed up the process.
Qualifications
- Academic & Certification: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering with 4+ years of experience in the SRE domain. AWS Solution Architect Associate certification/Azure certification and certification in DevOps tools like Jenkins, Terraform, or Ansible.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication and documentation skills. Ability to handle customer escalations and implement root cause analysis (RCA). Self-motivated with excellent time management, mentorship, and organizational skills.
- Technical Skills: Deep understanding of cloud services, Experience building and optimizing 'big data' data pipelines, architectures and data sets, databases, application,. Monitoring and automation the data flow with tools. Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with object Oriented databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases. Build scalable data pipelines to ingest & transform streaming & batch data using distributed technologies like Apache Spark, Kafka, AWS Kinesis. Experience in Data lake: AWS S3 and Azure Blob storage. Databricks, Kubernetes experience is an added advantage.
