Job Summary:
The Robotics & Automation Engineer will play a critical role within the AMRT Robotics Team, focusing on the development, deployment, and continuous improvement of robotic and automation systems to support global operations. The role combines technical expertise in industrial robotics with project management, system integration, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the identification, development, and deployment of industrial robotic and automation applications.

Create robot simulation models and perform off-line programming using tools like RoboGuide.

Provide ongoing technical support for robotic systems, including troubleshooting, diagnostics, and maintenance planning.

Train operators and engineers in robot programming, preventive maintenance, and best practices.

Establish global PM plans during the industrialization process.

Apply Lean manufacturing principles to robotics and automation projects.

Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and service operations.

Collaborate with supply chain, productivity, and component engineering teams to identify automation opportunities.

Document all technical data and ensure compliance with engineering policies and procedures.

Track and communicate project status and key developments across stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Education:

Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics from an accredited institution.
Experience:
-
Minimum 6 years of relevant engineering experience with a focus on robotics or automation.
Desired Skills & Characteristics:

Hands-on experience with robot operations, sensors, servo systems, and motion control systems.

Proficiency in FANUC robot programming and RoboGuide simulation.

Understanding of robotic systems: vision, kinematics, and automation integration.

Familiar with CAD, ROS, Linux, Git, and Docker.

Programming skills in Python, C++, or Java.

Process knowledge in one or more areas (e.g., thermal spray coating, welding, machining, surface finishing, sealing).

Proven experience in project management and conducting hands-on system trials.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
Compensation & Benefits:

Annual Wage Supplement (AWS) – Paid in December

Variable Bonus (VB) – Paid in April (historically 1.6 months minimum, performance-based)

Annual salary increment – Based on performance (starting after 1 year of service)

– Pick-up from designated locations across Singapore before work
– Drop-off to major MRT stations after work
