QA/QC Engineer (Mechanical/Piping) CAT III
This role is responsible for quality assurance and quality control, during FEED/detail engineering, procurement, and construction project phases, review of several EPC deliverables, including coordination of third-party source-inspection activities. Reporting functionally to the COMPANY PMT and directly to, the Head of Projects QA/QC and provides ongoing leadership and support to ensure project’s compliance.


Qualification :-
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline (Mechanical) with demonstrated knowledge and experience
• Certified CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector or equivalent.
• Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Level II certification is required, with valid certifications in RT, MPT, DPT, VT, and UT methods
• ISO 9001: 2015 internal / lead auditor (IRCA or an equivalent) trained or certified, with a broad experience in QMS audits and QA verification programs for various project phases (i.e., Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (specifically, the Repair / Installation of pipelines and their associated infrastructure would be beneficial).
• Preferably holding an API SIRE – Source Inspector Rotating Equipment certification, with specific emphasis on gas turbines

Minimum Requirements
• As a minimum of 10 years demonstrated experience in the oil and gas industry, with particular focus on brownfield and greenfield projects, and in-service modifications to existing LNG facilities together with maintenance and shutdown activities.

• At least 5 years of experience & familiarity with various manufacturers of compressor / turbine, preferably gas turbine generators including other rotating equipment, and related industrial specifications

• Knowledge of applicable Codes/Standards (e.g., ISO:9001, ASME, API (API 613, API 614, API 616, API 661), ASNT, NACE, AWS, EN 10204)
• Experience in the Source Inspection of Rotating Equipment, with specific emphasis on gas turbines is preferred. Hands on knowledge in Source Inspection Management Program
• Experience in Gas Turbine Major Inspection and Hot gas path Inspection is preferred
• Should as a minimum be conversant with all relevant NDT techniques and as a minimum, holding Level II in visual (VT), magnetic particle (MP), dye penetrant (DP), radiographic and ultrasonic testing is mandatory.



Job Description.
1. Understand and promote the COMPANY QA/QC requirements and compliance expectations.
2. Support the interface relationships between applicable project stakeholders.
3. Establish and support proactive and collaborative working relationships with FEED / EPC contractors and applicable third-party organizations.
4. Review the project scope of work, to determine the nature, extent and frequency of quality verification activities.5. Lead and participate in assigned quality verification activities.
6. Coordinate the project quality team meetings, and report project QA/QC metrics to the PMT and the Lead QA/QC Engineer (CAT III Projects and Quality Assurance).
7. Review contractor/ supplier quality deliverables for conformance to company’s quality requirements and expectations (I.E. PQP, PEP, ITP, WPS, WQT, Criticality Rating assessments and QA/Procedures
8. Chair Pre-Inspection Meetings to ensure that the quality requirements and expectations are fully understood and implemented prior to commencement of work activities
9. Coordinate site and workshop inspection activities and assign adequate COMPANY inspection resources to effectively measure conformance to requirements.
10. Coordinate the assignment of third-party inspectors to represent company at offsite manufacturing/service facilities.
11. Implement the assigned CAT III (FEED/EDC) EPC project QA/QC verification plans to ensure ongoing project compliance, including the following:▪ Participate in QA assessments, audits and verifications on the Contractors’ engineering, procurement, construction and quality processes.▪ Ensure effective coordination of site and workshop inspection activities and assign adequate COMPANY inspection resources to effectively measure conformance to requirements.▪ Ensure mechanical acceptance readiness, and compliant project completion.
12. Evaluate and monitor the performance of project QAQC Inspectors and identify training requirements to continually improve the performance of the Project Quality Team.
13. Lead the NCR management process for identified non-conformances – including NCR/CAR issue, RCFA, disposition approval and close-out.
14. Identify quality lessons learned and propose suitable corrective actions to improve work processes and prevent further undesirable conditions/ situations.
15. Responsible for project punch-list coordination and close-out prior to mechanical acceptance.
16. Ensures mechanical acceptance, and completion of applicable pre-commissioning activities.
17. Review the FEED Package document review and multi discipline engineered items.
18. Review the Material Requisitions, Material Approval Documents, Technical Bid Evaluations in conformance to COMPANY Quality requirements, Specification and expectations.
19. Review and support the Criticality rating assessment for materials/equipment to complete the Design and Inspection levels with respect to COMPANY quality requirements.
20. Review the Vendor/OEM Inspection & Test plan and ensure the Quality Control Program for all testing requirements prior to manufacturing of E&I equipment’s.
21. Review and interpret RT films and provide expert opinion regarding the scope and extent of defects and, potential remedial actions, where applicable
22. Review and selection of Third-party Inspector with relevant experience & knowledge in compliance with QA/QC inspection requirements.
23. Provide the necessary support to Source Inspection Coordinator
24. Implement and uphold the COMPANY health, safety and environment requirements throughout project execution.
