Job Title: Senior Reservoir Engineer

Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Simulation Engineer to join a dynamic upstream development team supporting operated gas assets in Oman. This role is ideal for an experienced reservoir professional who thrives in multidisciplinary environments and brings strong expertise in reservoir simulation, well test analysis, reserves evaluation, and field development planning.
You will be responsible for supporting strategic development decisions through high-quality subsurface modelling and performance forecasting across complex reservoirs, contributing directly to both short- and long-term production goals.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct reservoir simulation, reserves evaluation, well test analysis, and development planning as part of an integrated subsurface team.

Collaborate with geoscientists, drilling engineers, and production teams to ensure cohesive subsurface development strategies.

Provide technical input and recommendations for well proposals, completion strategies, and data acquisition plans.

Deliver high-quality forecasts, uncertainty assessments, and production optimisation proposals using industry-standard tools.

Lead and contribute to integrated studies aimed at maturing hydrocarbon resources and reserves.

Manage PVT analysis, laboratory workflows, and EoS model development in collaboration with internal and external laboratories.

Prepare clear technical documentation and deliver presentations for technical reviews, business units, and stakeholders.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field (Master's degree a plus)

8+ years of experience in reservoir engineering, ideally with strong exposure to tight gas reservoirs

Proficient in reservoir simulation and engineering software (e.g., Kappa Saphire, OFM, Eclipse, TNav)

Experience with reservoir management, well test design and interpretation, and reserves booking

Working knowledge of production operations and completion technologies

Strong analytical, documentation, and presentation skills

Experience working in multi-disciplinary and multicultural teams

Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are advantageous
Desirable:

Experience contributing to Field Development Plans

Familiarity with uncertainty and risk analysis, value of information (VOI) studies
