Job Title: ISBL Supervisor
Location: Sohar, Oman
Project: MARSA LNG Bunkering Project
Duration: 2–3 years from FID
Status: Residential (5 days per week)
Reports To: ISBL Superintendent
Project Context The MARSA LNG Bunkering Project aims to develop a regional LNG bunkering hub in Sohar, Oman. It involves building a new onshore midscale LNG plant supplied by gas from the Greater Barik field. The ISBL Supervisor plays a critical role in achieving safe, timely, and compliant construction delivery.

Job Purpose To supervise the construction activities for the Inside Battery Limits (ISBL) scope of the MARSA LNG project, ensuring safety, quality, compliance, and timely execution. The role includes supporting pre-commissioning and handover to commissioning, and maintaining strong coordination between contractors, stakeholders, and the site team.

Key Responsibilities

1. HSE Leadership
  • Act as a visible safety leader; enforce safety standards and Stop Work policies.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate/local HSE regulations.
  • Promote a strong safety culture across all ISBL construction activities.
2. Construction Management
  • Support the ISBL Superintendent in supervising construction, pre-commissioning, and punch list activities.
  • Monitor EPC contractor performance; report risks to schedule and propose mitigations.
  • Facilitate and review construction plans, method statements, and workfront availability.
  • Track and resolve issues across multi-disciplinary interfaces (mechanical, structural, etc.).
  • Maintain work registers and trackers for follow-up and closure.
3. Technical & Project Execution
  • Ensure work aligns with project specifications, codes, and best practices.
  • Participate in audits and interface coordination meetings.
  • Review technical deliverables and support technical validations.
  • Help compile and review final documentation for handover.
4. Stakeholder & Team Engagement
  • Build strong working relationships with EPC contractors and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment and knowledge transfer.
  • Guide junior staff and promote skill development within the team.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Engineering degree with a minimum of 10 years’ oil & gas construction experience, including multidisciplinary ISBL works.
  • Experience in large-scale projects from both owner and contractor perspectives.
  • Strong knowledge of EPC execution, commissioning, and pre-commissioning.
  • Proven HSE leadership and commitment.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); Arabic or French is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural and fast-paced project environment.
