The Absheron Conventional Gas & Condensates field is located offshore Azerbaijan Republic in the Caspian Sea in 500 meters depth, at about 100km southeast of Baku, 25km north-east of Shah Deniz field and 34km south of Oil Rocks production and processing facilities. The project aims at supplying natural gas

Activities

This position is starting from the Absheron Full Field Development (FFD) FEED phase sanction until the completion of the Development phase including Project close-out.

Ahead of the operations, provide engineering support to prepare the campaign, assist with well architecture and drilling program, and install many contracts of services.

During the drilling campaign, provide engineering support with absolute respect of HSE high performance level and control of expenses This stage will involve performing rotations offshore onboard the drilling rig.

Participate in the Drilling Performance Optimization process.

• Assist in applying best practices based on operational experience in the Caspian Sea and Azerbaijan
• Contribute to the preparation of the Blow-Out Contingency Plan and Assist in supporting emergency drills and response coordination.
• Adhere to the HSE policy of the Company on concerned facilities.
• Promote exemplarity in HSE matters including accurate reporting and feedback, being involved and motivates all personnel on safety culture of the Company.
• Ensure that the plans of action and audits that are part of the HSE policy are followed up.
• Maintain awareness of drilling risks by contributing to updates on the Drilling Risk Register and ensure those risks are As Low As Reasonably Practicable.

Candidate Profile

• Diploma: Master's degree in Drilling Engineering or equivalent
• 2 - 4 years' experience
• Good knowledge of well design and drilling operations, very firm commitment on the HSE aspects of plans, program, and procedures.
• Exploration and Development of a gas field, drilling and completion, deepwater experience, HP/HT knowledge, good level of autonomy, good records of preparation of campaigns.
• Strong performance drive, team building and multi-disciplinary approach
• Fluent English and Azerbaijani language skills mandatory
