NES Qatar is currently looking for a Senior Cost Engineer for our Qatar based oil and gas client. This is a Direct hire role which also offers family benefits.

The primary responsibility of this role is to perform Cost Engineering, Budgeting, and Invoicing activities to support the successful execution and timely delivery of projects under the Projects Engineering & Procurement Services (PEPS) Directorate.
We are looking for candidates with:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Cost Engineering, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in cost estimation for upstream/downstream oil & gas or civil/infrastructure projects
• Proficiency in cost estimation and analysis across all project stages (Initiation, Study, FEED/ECS, EPIC/Construction)
• Strong skills in cost monitoring, forecasting, reporting, claims evaluation, and dispute resolution
• Additional experience in quantity surveying is preferred
• Familiarity with contracting strategies, tendering processes, and bid evaluations
• Proficiency in international cost estimation software
• Strong knowledge of QHSE standards, material specifications, and construction techniques
• High level of computer literacy, including MS Office and project control software

Qualifications:

• B.Sc. or equivalent in an Engineering discipline
• Preferably Certified Estimating Professional (AACE) or Certified Cost Engineer, or equivalent certifications/memberships
