This position reports to
Service Manager
Your role and responsibilities
Position Mission: Ensure the efficient and safe operation of maritime and port systems and equipment by providing specialized technical support to customers across the Americas. This includes remote assistance and ensuring customer satisfaction through innovative and sustainable solutions. Roles and Responsibilities: Leadership and Technical Support: Lead and guide field engineering activities, providing technical support and leadership to teams while complying with standard procedures and quality, safety, and environmental requirements. Problem Identification and Resolution: Provide remote technical support to identify issues and define corrective actions across various categories such as installation, maintenance, repairs, and upgrades. Planning and Customer Relations: Execute activities according to planning and requests, maintaining strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and identifying new business opportunities. Material Organization: Ensure the availability and organization of materials, tools, and spare parts required for maintenance services. Documentation and Continuous Improvement: Validate technical documentation, report specifications, and suggest actions to improve service quality, contributing to efficiency and customer satisfaction. Monitoring and Compliance: Monitor results, review relevant documents, update managers on activity progress, and ensure compliance with safety policies and internal procedures.

Qualifications for the role
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required, preferably in Electrical or Automation Engineering. (Active CREA registration required)
- Previous experience in service activities involving ABB systems and low/medium voltage drives (ACS800, ACS880, ACS1000, ACS2000, ACS6000).
- Previous experience with protection and distribution systems (ABB protection relays, low and medium voltage circuit breakers).
- Previous experience with marine systems is desirable.
- Language: Fluent English is required for reading, writing, and conversation.
