Feature Owner (FO) - Energy Systems Integration Engineer
Job Summary:
Our client in Novi, MI is looking for a Feature Owner (FO) - Energy Systems Integration Engineer. This is a contract position.
Role objectives:
Electrical Systems Integration champion of 1st principles design methodology and use extensive problem-solving in an environment that contains confidential and proprietary Electric Vehicle information.
Develop and maintain Best Practices: Design Standards, Test Procedures, Technical Specifications. Own the design and performance of Energy Systems Integration. Electrical Engineer with HV bus experience, ability to manage complex projects including coordinating the work of other engineers and ability to create status summaries. Primary role will be to support the integration and coordination of Energy System org Sub-Systems (HV Battery, Thermal Systems, Charging, HV & LV Bus, HV Safety) into the vehicle platform, ensuring all sub-systems achieve vehicle metrics on-time, with quality. Ownership for integration of all HV components into a HV Bus Architecture, including responsibility for all mechanical and electrical interactions and requirements.
Required background experience in:
• Required: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering along with 5 years of post-graduation experience.
• 5 years Deep experience in automotive electrical systems integration for EV, HV, LV electric vehicle energy platforms.
• 3 years of Electrical Integration experience coordinating work and quick studies across the entire Energy Systems team including supporting the Energy Systems weekly kick-off meeting including defining agenda topics.
• 5 years of experience with HV and LV bus specification documents (requirement documentation) as well as the HV Mechanization diagram.
• Experience working with Functional and HV Safety to define test plans to validate the HV Bus.
• 5 years of technical expertise in integration of Power Electronics into a HV Bus.
• 3 years experience in DFMEA review lead for systems integration.
• 3 years of experience adapting to different work packages that will arise during the product development cycle.
