Overview
Participates in reservoir management and well surveillance activities which are properly designed to meet the production and reservoir targets/objectives and to optimise the performance of an oilfield.

Principal Accountabilities

1.To follow up and assure with the team members, other sections and departments that the ongoing reservoir management and surveillance activities are done as per reservoir management plan and department requirements.

2.Contribute to the periodic production planning and reservoir surveillance planning

3.Contribute and integrate reservoir engineering inputs into the short term (drill/replacement well projects, workover projects and drilling/workover operations), medium term (reservoir voidage management) and long term (field development and asset value optimisation) activities.

4.Design and follow up of the execution of welltest programmes

5.Contribute to the well proposals/prognosis. Develop and prepare post-drill reservoir engineering reports including integration of interpreted reservoir engineering data with Geological & Petrophysical evaluations.

6.Perform analysis and interpretation of RFT/MDT and other pressure data.

7.Evaluate well and reservoir performance and recommend production improvement opportunities

8.Recommend the acquisition of reservoir engineering data and maintain reservoir engineering databases including real time data links.

9.Monitor work compliance by contractors for reservoir engineering data acquisition.

10.Provide on-the-job coaching and development of Qatari staff.

Required
•Prefer 10 years work experience in reservoir engineering activities.
•Experience in transient well test design and interpretation, material balance modelling and performance prediction.
•Must have strong teamwork skills. Experience working in a multicultural and integrated environment is a plus. Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
•Must have experience in mature carbonate fields.
•Knowledge in PVT data analysis.
•Must be able to communicate effectively with peers, less experienced staff, field staff and management.
•Must be familiar with reserves evaluation, classification and booking.
•BSc in Engineering (preferably Petroleum Engineering) or Applied Sciences.
Desirable
•Experience working on mature oil/gas fields.
•Desirable to have experience in reservoir fluid sampling, fluid property modelling, routine and special core analysis.
Desirable to have knowledge of uncertainty analysis and risk assessment/management.
