A Weatherford Gas Lift Tech will be responsible for building equipment required for jobs and keeping track of inventory and customer stock equipment. The Gas Lift Shop Tech is to ensure work is carried out safely while managing time appropriately. All Gas Lift operations must comply with regulatory requirements, the Weatherford management system, and Gas Lift product line policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform tasks involved in building Weatherford Gas Lift equipment, such as pressure testing, aging and setting IPO valves, and placing valves in equipment, following Gas Lift TWI
- Commit to working safely by following regulatory requirements and Weatherford, Gas Lift safety procedures and practices. Work hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with overtime as required
- Maintain a clean work area, including tools, equipment, and the shop area
- Actively participate in continuous improvement and Blue-Chip initiatives set forth by Weatherford management
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times and maintain it in a clean and serviceable manner
- Participate in scheduled safety meetings
- Ensure regulatory and safety training certifications (e.g., Forklift, Overhead Crane and Rigging, H2S, First Aid) remain up-to-date
- Report any deficiencies with equipment
- Remain current with and commit to the effective and timely use of Weatherford Operational Risk Management policies, procedures, documents, and tools
- Perform tasks ensuring correct use of all tools and equipment, knowing their functions and how to use/operate them safely
- Periodically sign into employee connect to check for and complete any outstanding courses or assigned policies
- Ensure inventory is counted and placed in the correct location when received
- Ensure inventory used is placed on the correct/corresponding equipment tickets
- Ensure customer stock equipment returning from the field is torn down, cleaned, inspected, and valve reports are done and sent to the appropriate parties. Organize and track customer stock equipment, rebuilding when required
- Complete weekly cycle counts
- Understand and oversee gas lift unloading start-up scenarios
- Have an understanding of gas lift operations and troubleshoot with the help of a gas lift engineer, knowing required information and how to relay it to customers
- Have working knowledge of kick over tools operations and usage, and be able to repair/rebuild them in the shop or field
Requirements
- Knowledgeable and comfortable in both shop and field settings
- Possess a valid country/regional driver's license applicable to the equipment, with a clean abstract
- Possess valid and current country certificates for regulatory safety training, which may include but are not limited to H2S, First Aid & CPR
- Ability to perform basic computer functions as required
- Working level of literacy: must be capable of reading manuals and work instructions and understanding the content.
Education
- Successful completion of secondary/high school education or equivalent.
