AGI Commissioning Site Leader - Tanzania

On behalf of a major oil & gas operator, WRS are seeking an experienced Commissioning Site Leader to oversee the commissioning activities of a major cross-border oil & gas pipeline construction project in Tanzania. You’ll manage multi-disciplinary teams and contractors to ensure the safe, timely, and efficient execution of commissioning across pipelines and above-ground installations. The role is working on a 12 month renewable contract, rotating 8 weeks in country/2 weeks off, paying  aday rate in USD.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead site-based commissioning activities in line with project standards.
• Supervise commissioning contractors and ensure integration with project plans.
• Implement safety management systems adapted for commissioning and start-up phases.
• Coordinate and execute functional and operational testing.
• Monitor progress, report on risks, and ensure proper documentation of commissioning activities.
• Facilitate the smooth handover to field operations, including documentation and operational readiness.
• Support start-up and transfer operations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• 10 years’ experience in commissioning within large-scale oil & gas projects.
• Experience working on pipeline projects
• Experience working for an oil & gas operator
• Proven leadership and multi-discipline coordination experience.
• Excellent communication, planning, and safety leadership skills.
