Senior Engineer, OT

Location: Singapore (Project-Based, with potential offshore/international assignments)

Contract Type: Fixed Term Direct - 24 months

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an Operational Technology (OT) Engineer to support the implementation of a large-scale Digitalisation Strategy across advanced offshore and marine assets. This position plays a key role in enabling data-driven optimisation by integrating Operational Technology systems with Enterprise IT infrastructure.

The role focuses on linking previously isolated OT systems-including ICSS, vendor control systems, marine packages, and telecommunications-to enterprise networks. You will contribute to digital transformation initiatives such as Advanced Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and process automation to enhance asset performance and reliability.

You will also help establish robust practices for data handling, governance, and collaboration between digital and operational teams across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Champion and improve existing OT technology change management processes
• Develop and troubleshoot OT-IT interfaces between business systems and control networks
• Contribute to the scoping, execution, and management of OT-related projects
• Assist with OT hardware lifecycle planning and infrastructure standardisation
• Liaise with cross-functional stakeholders across engineering, digital, and operational departments
• Participate in project design reviews to ensure digital alignment with operational goals
• Analyse OT/IT networks for improved integration, architecture, and security
• Provide technical input and architectural oversight for operational application rollouts
• Design and deliver integration solutions for OT systems within FPSO or offshore architectures
• Report into the OT Lead within the Digital & Analytics department to support global initiatives
• Collaborate with technical teams and external partners on digital infrastructure and applications

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or relevant technical field
• More than 5 years of hands-on control system design experience in the oil & gas sector
• Broad understanding of OT infrastructure, applications, and FPSO operational environments
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols and networking (OT/IT)
• Awareness of limitations in traditional control systems and how digital solutions can address them
• Programming logic and/or software development experience is an advantage

Desirable Knowledge (Not Mandatory)

• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., IEC, ISO, NIST); certifications are a plus
• Understanding of FPSO control systems (e.g., ICSS, vendor packages)
• Knowledge of OT systems integration challenges and operational management
• Experience with data structures, data conditioning, and manipulation
• Exposure to virtualisation technologies, server infrastructure, or SANs
• Familiarity with EPCI engineering tools and information lifecycle systems
• Systems engineering methodologies and toolsets
