In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Apply the latest manufacturing technology and lean methodology in your day-to-day tasks (including the specification, design and/or selection of new equipment, tooling, fixtures and procedures required to meet safety, quality, efficiency, cost and customer requirements
• Develop necessary process documentation including standard work instructions, component routings and training procedures
• Coordinate efforts with all areas of operations including Product Design Engineering, Production Planning and Manufacturing Supervisors
• Conduct investigations into new and emerging technologies to assist in selecting, justifying, purchasing and implementing new equipment and tooling to support operations or make recommendations on feasibility
• Serve as the primary liaison for the implementation of new equipment, tools, fixture and/or processes into existing manufacturing lines or development of new production lines
• Involve area personnel in the design, development, and implementation of improvement projects
• Implement safety, environmental and ergonomic process improvements
• Apply root cause analysis and implement interim and permanent corrective actions
• Coordinate with Product Design Engineering on DFM (Design for Manufacturability)

For This Role, You Will Need:

• B.S. Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or 10+ years of experience in a related field
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and tools
• Extensive process documentation experience (time studies, standard work instructions, etc.)
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• Prior experience with weld, machine and assembly operations
• Knowledge of CAD (NX, Solidworks, etc) and CAM (MasterCAM, ESPRIT, etc)
• Experience in a high mix, low volume manufacturing environment
