Are you a seasoned mechanical engineer looking to take part in challenging, high-impact engineering projects? This could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.

We're recruiting on behalf of a solid and highly respected company within the subsea industry. As they continue to expand and secure technically complex projects, they're now looking to add a Senior Mechanical Engineer to their experienced team. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives on solving engineering challenges, enjoys working across the full development cycle, and values both independence and collaboration.

In this role, you'll take part in the full development process - from early concept and design to final delivery of mechanical systems and equipment. You'll be responsible for 3D modelling, structural calculations, technical documentation, and coordination with production and testing teams. Whether it's shaping design concepts, ensuring compliance with industry standards, or identifying practical design improvements, you'll play a crucial role in creating reliable, cost-efficient solutions for demanding offshore environments.

The company offers a truly engaging and supportive work environment - collaborative, creative, and filled with people who genuinely enjoy what they do. Teamwork and knowledge sharing are central to the culture. This is a place where contributions are valued, and where your technical input will directly influence the success of real-world engineering solutions. Beyond the work itself, the company puts great emphasis on building team spirit, with shared lunches, social activities, and a culture that values connection just as much as competence.

In addition to working on exciting engineering projects, the right person will be part of a company in growth - where you can contribute to shaping the future and be recognized for it. You'll also benefit from a subsidised lunch scheme, excellent insurance and pension plans, and a compensation package aligned with recognized industry standards such as those set by TEKNA.

If you're eager to contribute from concept to completion, collaborate with great people, and take part in a meaningful engineering journey - we'd love to hear from you.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • 8+ years of relevant experience, preferably within subsea, offshore, or other heavy industries
  • Strong skills in 3D CAD modelling (e.g. SolidWorks, Inventor) and FEA tools (e.g. Abaqus, Ansys, SolidWorks Simulation)
  • Solid understanding of relevant standards such as DNV, Eurocode, AWS
  • Comfortable working in both English (written and spoken); Norwegian is a plus

All inquiries will be handled in full confidentiality by Magnet Executive Search. Apply now or reach out for a discreet conversation.

We look forward to hearing from you!
