Job Description Summary

We are looking for mechanical engineer, who wants to join the team developing turbine for the the best-in-class turboprop engine - GE Catalyst as and it's military derrivative as design lead engineer.

You will have an opportunity to execute all activities associated with the hot flowpath airfoils mechanical design, turbine blades in particular, throughout full life cycle of the component.

You will own full responsibility over the hardware including its design and manufacturing, customer and supplier support working with Sourcing and Quality teams.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

• Execute engineering activities related to mechanical design development and maturation of turboprop engine on turbine airfoils
• Design optimization to improve cost and weight of selected components
• Address components producibility challenges
• Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks
• Participate as an author and presenter in technical and program reviews
• Formulate and implement tasks/project plans, monitor and report status
• Collaborate with other teams across disciplines and organizations, including hardware suppliers

Qualifications/Requirements and Desired Characteristics:

• Bachelor/MSc in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience in engineering design process of machine components
• Knowledge of materials, manufacturing methods and strength of materials (including skills in FEM analyses)
• Experience with technical documentation (drawings, 3D CAD models)
• Strong communication skills, including English language (spoken and written)
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a challenging and dynamic environment under time pressure
• Target orientation, responsibility, demonstrated strong problem-solving skills, passion to learn, open-mindedness, strong motivation
