EngineeringKey Responsibilities:
oDefine and lead the H&S plans & protocols for construction/O&M projects, aligned with ENGIE's objectives, group rules & standards.
oEnsure the implementation of H&S policies across projects, assets, and operations.
oEnsure compliance with local and international H&S regulations, as well as internal standards.
oFoster a strong and proactive H&S culture across the sites and with contractors/partners.
oIdentify, assess, and mitigate H&S risks related to the site activities.
oLead regular site audits, identify PO/OFI/NC and effectively implement corrective action plans.
oLead, investigate incidents/accidents, timely report submissions and implement corrective action plans.
Collaborate with site H&S teams to ensure consistency in practices.
oAttend / lead various site H&S committees/meetings with contractors/site team and ensure actions are implemented at site/s.
oMonitor site H&S KPIs rigorously and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
oDefine training/mock drill calendar and ensure all contractors and workmen are provided with necessary training on site.
oReview design and engineering documents and provide inputs related to H&S.
oLead the HAZID/HAZOP studies from H&S and coordinate with site HSE, Projects, O&M, engineering.
oMonitor & ensure site PTW, LOTO, etc. and all relevant systems are strictly implemented on site.
oEnsure Pune office H&S monitoring, reporting, analysis and take necessary corrective actions on the non-conformities/improvement areas.
oCompile and distribute weekly, monthly and yearly HSE statistics/reports, etc.
oResponsible to analysis H&S related data/reports by using Microsoft office, power BI, etc tools and generate reports/PPTs as directed by department AGM/HOD.
oBe a team player to ensure H&S department initiatives/actions/plans as directed by the head.
oReport & advise H&S department head/seniors on operational H&S issues time to time.
oAssist the H&S department AGM/HOD for handling various tasks time to time.
Additional Details:
oThe position is office-based; however involves regular travel to construction/O&M sites in India.
oMust be able to handle multiple sites and collaborate with site H&S/technical teams.
oMust be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies.
Education and Experience:
• A Degree/Master's in Science/Engineering with relevant safety work experience.
• Possess NEBOSH Diploma/Certificate and a Government-recognized Advanced Diploma in Industrial Fire & Safety.
• 8 to 13 years of proven H&S experience, ideally in construction/O&M for renewable energy or industrial projects.
Skills and Qualities
• Strong knowledge of Indian H&S regulations and industry standards.
• Effective managerial skills to handle site situations and lead teams.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Proficient in using tools like MS Office and Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
• Fluent in English & Hindi, both spoken and written.
o Key Relations:
• Internal: Project Manager, Construction/Site Manager, Site Engineers/Supervisors, other depts.
• External: Owner's Engineer, EPC/General Contractor, all contractors and workmen on site, etc.
