We are currently seeking an Estimating Engineer, reporting directly to Estimating Manager to join our Estimating team based in London or Milton Keynes

About the mission we offer you:

Estimating Engineer

TheEstimating Engineer will be responsible for producing Engineering, Procurement and Conceptual estimates under supervision for a specific proposal and/or project. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to work across Engineering, Procurement and Project Management teams, with regular communication with external suppliers.

Responsibilities
  • Studying and understanding the scope of work, contract requirements, project schedule and execution.
  • Coordinating with Senior and/or Lead estimator to collect all relevant data firming up cost.
  • Assisting the Senior / Lead Estimator with the preparation of the estimate plan or estimate basis.
  • Following and understanding the methodology for Class 4 and 6, according to AACE guidelines.
  • Preparation of the cost estimate/overall cost summary/cash flow and exposure.
  • Analysis of the bidder requirements.
  • Preparation of cost estimates and review with the N+1.
  • Preparation of price breakdown, if required, for commercial proposal submission.
  • Updating and maintaining the data bank in line with department guidelines.


About you:

Wed love to hear from you and how you match with this position. To be successful in this mission you should consider the following requirements:

  • Degree Qualified (preferably in an engineering discipline)
  • Basic understanding of principles of industry and cost engineering.
  • Strong MS office skills and especially XLS spreadsheets and Data management.
  • Experience using Aspentech Capital Cost Estimator preferred.
  • Knowledge of Visual Basic for Macro would be preferred
