EDS Specialist

Secondment 1 year extendable contract

Office work

5 days on / 2 days off / 8-10 hours per day 

Urgent position 

Key Responsibilities:

- Smart 3D setup and customization activities.

- Create and maintain the project Plant structure

- Load and maintain the engineering specification (All discipline) database and libraries

- Schedule and validate all SP3D database back-ups & Review files for the project.

- Administrate the Smart 3D Network System security.

- Pipe Support customization /development

- Clash management

- Drawing Template Creation and Customization for all Discipline Deliverables

- SP3D Reference Data Catalogue(s) Creation and Maintenance

- Interface with all additional related software such as SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI),SmartPlant P&ID (SPPID), SmartPlant Electrical (SPEL), SmartPlant Foundation (SPF), SmartPlant Materials (SPM), MicroStation and Laser Scan Cloud Point

- Maintenance of design systems to ensure they are always fully operational.

- Responsible for all Smart 3D and CAD software. Including support and configuration for: Architectural, Civil, Piping, Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation and Equipment

Qualifications & Skills:

- Education: Engineering degree (Mechanical, Civil, or relevant discipline).

- Software Proficiency: Expertise in Smart 3D (S3D), Navisworks, and VB (.NET)

programming and Aveva E3.

- Experience: Minimum 12-15 years in Smart 3D administration, customization, and user support.

- Industry Knowledge: Experience in oil & gas, construction, or engineering projects.

- Technical Skills: Knowledge of SPP&ID, SPF, and database management (Oracle, SQL Server).
