About the Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for experienced Instrumentation & Control Engineers to join a dynamic team delivering complex onshore and offshore engineering projects. The role covers all phases of design, engineering, and site support, with a strong focus on quality, technical compliance, and cost-effective project execution. The position offers opportunities for both Senior and Lead Engineers depending on experience level.
Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality design outputs in accordance with internal procedures and project standards.

Prepare, review, and verify specifications, calculations, drawings, and technical documentation for detailed engineering.

Gather and integrate all relevant system information into design deliverables to ensure technical completeness.

Oversee and validate design work produced by designers and drafters, ensuring compliance with engineering best practices.

Maintain comprehensive records of design deliverables, revisions, and approvals for audit and traceability.

Perform in-house instrument sizing, selection, and manage third-party studies by subcontractors or vendors.

Provide site support to the construction team and coordinate execution with system vendors, integrators, and field instrument suppliers during project implementation.

Conduct onshore and offshore site visits, prepare survey reports, checklists, and other required documentation.

Interface with other disciplines and project support functions such as procurement, planning, and project management.

Support bid preparation, clarifications, and evaluations for tenders as required.
Main Accountabilities

Ensure technical compliance with contract specifications.

Deliver design deliverables within approved man-hour budgets and project schedules.

Provide timely reporting on engineering progress to discipline leads and project management.

Ensure quality objectives are consistently achieved.

Take full ownership and accountability for assigned tasks and responsibilities.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of design codes, standards, and industry best practices.

Promote and maintain high standards of HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) and HFE (Human Factors Engineering) awareness.
Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline (accredited by Board of Engineers Malaysia or equivalent).

Senior Engineer: Minimum 10 years’ experience in Instrumentation & Control engineering design for onshore/offshore projects.

Lead Engineer: Minimum 15 years’ post-graduate experience in Instrumentation & Control design for onshore/offshore projects.

Experience working with OEMs, system vendors, or field instrument suppliers.

Good understanding of applicable industry standards, codes, and best practices.

Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary, multicultural team.

Willingness to travel for site works and offshore visits as required.
Desirable
-
Professional Engineer (PE) registration with a recognised engineering board.

Previous experience in tender bid preparation, clarifications, and evaluation.

Strong awareness of HSE and HFE requirements.
