Role Overview

An experienced Senior Construction Supervisor (Brownfield - Instrumentation) is required to oversee offshore brownfield instrumentation, control systems and telecom construction activities. The successful candidate will manage EPIC contractors across offshore facilities, leading construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, schedule and contractual standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and monitor contractor performance, manpower deployment, plant movements, and manage construction progress across offshore sites.
• Coordinate Instrumentation, Fire & Gas, DCS, ESD, and Telecom construction scopes at offshore platforms and production stations.
• Conduct daily and weekly coordination meetings with contractors, HSE, QA/QC, and discipline supervisors; address and resolve work constraints.
• Serve as construction Risk Management representative: identify construction risks, assess impacts, propose mitigations, and ensure follow-through at site.
• Review and verify contractor progress reports, daily and weekly, for accuracy and completeness.
• Liaise with discipline engineers throughout design, procurement, and construction stages to resolve technical issues.
• Review detailed design drawings, method statements, material requisitions, and inspection results during construction.
• Participate in SAT, FAT, IFAT and performance tests, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
• Review and approve contractor construction plans, schedules, logistics plans, method statements, and procedures.
• Supervise and verify material testing, inspections, material submissions and redline mark-up drawings.
• Oversee Mechanical Completion Certification (MCC) walkdowns, and pre-commissioning and commissioning handover processes.
• Maintain detailed daily progress reports, highlighting anomalies, contractual deviations, or non-conformances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor compliance with work permits, ensuring strict adherence to offshore PTW systems.
• Coordinate contractor mobilisation/demobilisation to offshore sites in line with project schedules.
• Act as primary site representative outside of normal office hours during construction phases, maintaining continuous operational oversight.
• Engage regularly with other departments (production, maintenance, other contractors) to resolve interface issues and maintain smooth operations.
• Provide technical input during bid reviews, tenders, method statement evaluations, and execution schedules.

Qualifications & Experience

• HND / Diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 10-12 years' experience in offshore oil & gas construction and installation, with strong brownfield experience.
• Proven expertise in Instrumentation, Control Systems, Fire & Gas, DCS, ESD and Telecom disciplines.
• Hands-on experience managing wellhead jackets, offshore platforms and brownfield facility modifications.
• In-depth knowledge of construction industry standards, offshore safety requirements, and QA/QC processes.
• Strong leadership, conflict resolution, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Computer literate with strong reporting, documentation, and administrative capabilities.
