We have a current opportunity for a SHE Advisor - Operations & Industrial Hygiene on a PAYE contract basis. This will be an 18 month contract with potential for extension thereafter. The position will be based full time in the clients Aberdeen office with occassional trips offshore. Purpose of Role
 
To provide specialist Industrial Hygiene and SHE support, assistance and advice to the business, in the area of offshore operations and associated projects and activities on risk management.  The jobholder will promote the use of SHE Management System, principles and objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities to include:-
 
Industrial Hygiene (IH):

• Develop, review, update, and implement procedures and guidance documentation within Company SHEMS
• Assist, support and implement the Company IH and Occupational Health Strategy and Plan under the direction of Health and Hygiene SHE Advisor
• Develop and implement a Decommissioning Industrial Health Plan for each Asset, when required
• Identify and assess health and safety risks arising from factors offshore, and develop OH and IH improvement programmes

General:

• Provide IH and SHE input to Contractor selection and management processes including Tender Evaluation, Contractor Audits, SHE Performance Reviews, etc.
• Lead/take part in SHEMS audits as required
• Lead, support and participate in incident investigations as necessary
• Interface with external service providers and specialists as and when required
• Undertake duties as directed by Line Manager e.g. Incident investigation, continuous improvement projects

Qualifications & Experience

• Knowledge and thorough understanding of all H&S relevant legislation
• Good understanding of SHE management systems, safety observation / workforce engagement tools
• Ability to understand risk management / reduction priorities and establishing SHE objectives
• Formal qualification (or sufficient relevant industry experience)
• Strong experience supporting operations 
• Strong working knowledge of OH/IH
